Nicasio Torres (1975) is a visual artist, illustrator, and educator based in Barcelona. His practice unfolds through drawing, painting, and fashion, creating an imaginary world inhabited by mutant identities and hybrid creatures marked by desire, estrangement, and humor.

His work explores the aesthetic and political possibilities of the monstrous. With a queer and deeply personal sensitivity, his images emerge between the gestural and the symbolic, the lyrical and the visceral.

Alongside his studio practice, he develops a teaching practice focused on drawing, approached from an intersectional perspective that connects with other artistic practices, fostering a pedagogy centered on the collective, the personal, and the political.
